Elizabeth Fergson has devoted many years researching the Forney's lines with special emphasis on DNA, her understanding of DNA is far beyond that of my own.In an effort to retain her efforts for future generations to build on and refer to, we have placed a back up copy of Elizabeth's DNA data analysis with her permission here on this site and linked below.

Currently there are DNA samples included in the site for three of the six Forney family branches. One DNA sample is from two of our Swiss ancestors for which a documented connection to the Lancaster Forney's exists. We understand that in these economic times it is difficult to budget for DNA testing. If at all possible however we really need DNA from the Lancaster County Forney Line, and the Somerset County Line.
