Recent DNA tests have reviled some astonishing results. Preliminary DNA results demonstrate that the Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, Forney's, the Southern Forney's, and the Berks County Forney's are closely related. In order to be conclusive we need three DNA tests by various member of each line to conclusively state the relation.
We hoping other members of the Forney families will also participate in DNA testing.

Significant developments have occurred regarding the Lancaster County, York County, Southern, and Utah Forney's allowing us to consolidate these lines to clear connections to 16th century roots in Switzerland. Thanks to the work of Gottfried Fahrni.
